Basic Land Navigation

At Basic Land Navigation or BLN, students are not required to bring anything other than something they'd like to take notes with, hydration and snacks are also encouraged.  There is an opportunity to measure the student's individual pace count (IPC), and the class will learn how to orient a map and compass, discuss terrain features on a topographic map, learn some science and have things explained such as declination, lateral drift and much more.  There is also a discussion on the P.A.U.L. (Positive Azimuth Uniform Layout) method of land navigation.  Our BLN class is FREE.
